Hotel Zed Tofino is a stunning retro-inspired retreat nestled in the heart of Tofino, offering guests a perfect mix of style and adventure. This vibrant project features unique spaces like a secret retro arcade, a cozy sunken living room, and a 1980s-style bike path that connects directly to the beach. Thoughtfully designed with playful charm and quality craftsmanship, the hotel reflects Tofino’s laid-back vibe and creative spirit.
West Isle Industries provided the full scope of architectural millwork across the project. Our work included bathroom millwork with integrated solid surface sinks, as well as millwork throughout classrooms, kitchen areas including solid surface countertops, benches, breakout rooms, and shared common spaces. The project demanded a high level of coordination and consistency across a wide variety of applications, all delivered to meet the durability and performance requirements of a high-traffic institutional setting.
Located in downtown Langford, the campus represents a first-of-its-kind partnership between Royal Roads University, the University of Victoria, Camosun College, and the Justice Institute of British Columbia, with additional programming space for School District 62 (Sooke). It stands as a strong example of collaborative infrastructure supporting education and community growth on Vancouver Island.
